Goals of the course

At the end of the course, you’ll host your own meeting — leading a real conversation with people you’ve never met before.

Your Mentor
Marina Friesen (Afanasenko)
At 22, I signed my first international contract, thanks to my fluency in English — one of my strongest skills ever since. It opened doors for me to connect with professionals across Germany, Great Britain, Spain, Sweden, Poland, China, and the USA, where I now live.
My international experience expanded my network and empowered me to teach others. I managed Ukraine’s largest offline English-speaking school, which had ten offices nationwide.
FAQs
-
Speaking and social skills grow best in real interaction with other people. In a one-on-one setting, the teacher naturally takes the lead—asking questions, guiding the conversation, and providing topics. But in real life, you have to do all of that too. That’s why practicing with peers in a group is essential—it mirrors real conversations and helps you develop the skills you’ll actually use.
-
I know short “express” courses are popular right now. But we’re not just learning theory—we’re building a habit that will stay with you for years. That takes consistency and time. My goal is for this to be the last English course you’ll ever need—so you won’t find yourself signing up for another quick-fix class year after year, still feeling like you’ll never know enough. So yes, 9 months is a reasonable amount of time. You’ll like it.
-
Short answer—yes. Without preparation, you’ll get about 75% less from the course.
The good news is, I keep the workload reasonable. I’m an adult with a family, work, hobbies, and an active life too, so I know how busy things can get. You’ll need about 60–90 minutes a week, and that’s enough to see real progress. -
You’ll be surprised how much progress you can make by attending one class per week and dedicating time to homework over nine months. I’ve worked with adults since 2008, so I know busy lives well. If English isn’t your top priority right now, attending multiple classes per week is often unrealistic.
-
I don’t work with beginners. The skills I teach aren’t yet practical for A1–A2 levels of English. These skills become useful when you start using English for real-life purposes—going to job interviews, speaking with clients or colleagues, meeting new people, and participating in meetings. That’s where I can be most helpful.

We start with an introductory meeting to assess your level and choose the right group. After that, I’ll send you a payment link for credit or debit card payment. If you prefer, I can also provide an invoice.
